When I was assigned a blog creation project for my college class, I was thrilled to get started. We were given the freedom to choose any topic we wanted, and I was excited not only to share knowledge about a subject I was already deeply passionate about but also to expand my own understanding of it in the process
Before I started, I knew that having a conversation with a friend is a lot different than writing to an audience.
I also knew that writing academic papers is a lot different than writing in blog form.
I have had a lot of experience with both talking to friends/family about holistic health and writing academic papers but not with writing in a blog format.
So, although I was very excited, I knew it might be kind of a challenge for me to create interesting and helpful blogs.
After three weeks of consistently blogging, I feel that I gained a lot of insight and I would like to share with you all things I have learned, struggled with and plan to do in the future.
Things I have learned:
How to get my thoughts out to the world in a relatable way
How to investigate sources to identify their credibility
How quickly trends change and how to adapt to them
How to breaking up paragraphs for an easier read
How to use graphics to keep the reader's attention
Things I have struggled with:
Fitting long message into character limit
Picking just one topic
Run On sentences
Grammar
Although class is coming to an end, I feel that I have more to share.
I work full time at an office, bartend on the weekends for extra money and am finishing up my college career.
That being said, I am very busy but really enjoying this blog journey.
So, my goal is to continue posting at least two blogs a month.
Topics I want to dive into:
Cognitive Mushrooms (Lions Maine, Chaga, Reshi)
Tinctures / Other supplements
Recipes
Yoga/ Meditation
Book Recommendations
Thank you for your support throughout this assignment. I hope that you were able to take something away from it.
As always, stay safe and healthy. Let's thrive together!
