What is your go to source for news updates?

Or when feel yourself get sick and experience new symptoms? Do you call your doctor or do you begin searching on Google?

How about when you want to make some lifestyle changes and are looking for a place to start?

In today's world, we have access to an overwhelming amount of information on various platforms.

Sometimes it might feel hard to sort through all of the options and determine which sources are actually credible.

To me, a credible source is one that is transparent, unbiased along with having research and data to back up claims.

In this blog, I would like to share some of my favorite resources, inspiration, and more.

The link above directs you to Organic Olivia's website which holds an abundance amount of information. All of which, I find extremely relevant in my holistic health research journey.

For example, she is an expert in thyroid health and TCM!

OO is a female dominant website (most of her products are for women's health) that houses blogs, podcasts, and even an herb dictionary!

All of her research is backed by science, case studies and or personal experience. She always includes her resources, interviews many doctors/ other herbalists and is passionate about the information she provides.

This is my go to spot to learn about herbalism and how to implement these practices into modern day lives.

Where do I even begin? Andrew Huberman is neuroscientist, author, podcaster, professor and so much more.

In 2017, he was awarded Cogan Award for making the most scientific discoveries in the study of vision.

I find myself focusing on Huberman's research about brain function and the nervous system the most. He recently launched "Huberman Lab Podcast" in 2022 which has made learning difficult concepts, enjoyable.

Furthermore, a lot of his work from Huberman Laboratory at Stanford School of Medicine has been published in sources such as "Nature, Science, and cell".

Huberman is an incredibly intelligent scientist and his website is my go to spot when I want to learn more about topics such as cold plunging and natural ADHD remedies.

Donna Maltz, also known as Mama Donna, is a "soulutionist", voice for nature, mentor, and author.

She was born in NJ but after her first trip to Europe, she realized she wanted a more sustainable lifestyle for herself.

Mama Donna now resides in Hawaii and spends her time doing live shows, coaching, writing books such as "Conscious Cures", providing the world with nutrient based recipes along with being an advocate for our environment.

I had the pleasure of talking with Donna a few years back. She reminded me how important my voice was and gave me some ideas of how to express it.

I head to Donna's website, open one of her books, or go onto her Twitter page when I need some inspiration/direction and positivity.

The first link will lead you to a free digital library. There you will have access to countless books full of information.

My favorite is the Alan Watts section which can be found here: https://openlibrary.org/authors/OL422625A/Alan_Watts

To give you some background, Alan Watts was born near London in 1915 and moved to the USA in 1938. He was one of the firsts to interpret Eastern wisdom/ teachings for a Western audience.

Throughout his life he published many books, taught Buddhist studies in San Fran, started the radio show "Way Beyond the West", and touched the hearts of so many. All of this led to his reputation as a spiritual spokesman.

Alan Watts has opened my mind up to a whole new world of wellness. He was one of the first to spark my interest in spirituality and Eastern practices.

All in all, power is knowledge. Once you know how to find credible sources, researching can be extremely fun and beneficial!

Thanks for reading and.....
